Overview:
Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Elsie Rooftop in Midtown, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was fine, with limited city skyline views and a trendy, upscale vibe. The food was also good, with a menu that offered various options, from small plates to entrees. Some standout dishes included sliders and chicken skewers. However, I have to say that the service was average at best. Nevertheless, I would still recommend Elsie Rooftop for a night out with friends or a romantic date, as the overall experience was enjoyable.
The Atmosphere:
The atmosphere at Elsie Rooftop is undoubtedly one of its defining features. The interior decor is tastefully done, with a modern and chic design that exudes a trendy, upscale vibe. However, while the rooftop location offers some views of the city skyline, it's worth noting that they are somewhat limited. That being said, the venue still creates an intimate and charming ambiance. The elegant lighting and the attention to detail in the decor add to the overall experience at Elsie Rooftop.

The Service:
While the staff at Elsie Rooftop was undoubtedly friendly, I have to say that the service was lacking during my visit. Our waiter took a long time to come around and take our order, and we had to flag her down several times. While this didn't ruin our experience entirely, it did detract from the overall enjoyment of the evening. That being said, it's worth noting that the staff members we interacted with were polite and accommodating and seemed genuinely invested in ensuring we had a good time. With some improvements to the efficiency and attentiveness of the service, Elsie Rooftop could be a truly exceptional dining experience.
Rating: 3/5
The Food:
The food at Elsie Rooftop was good, but the portions were on the smaller side, and the prices were high. While the menu offered a nice selection of cuisines with creative twists, some dishes were priced much higher than they deserved to be. For example, a serving of guacamole costs a whopping $22, which is hard to justify (barely enough to share with three people). That being said, the flavors and presentation of the food were generally impressive, and we enjoyed trying the chicken skewers and sliders. It's worth noting, however, that if you're looking for a hearty meal, you may need to order multiple items, which could quickly add up in terms of cost. So, overall, while the food at Elsie Rooftop was good, the high prices and small portions may not be ideal for everyone.

Cleanliness:
While I can't speak to the kitchen or prep areas, the tables and surfaces in the dining area seemed clean and well-maintained. The overall feel of the space was clean and polished, which added to the upscale and trendy atmosphere.
