Terra - Review
225 W Broadway, New York, NY 10013
Overview:
I recently dined at Terra in Tribeca, and overall, it was a decent experience. Terra has a nice interior, good food, and okay service, but a price that is hard to beat!
The Atmosphere:
The restaurant's decor was really nice, with exposed brick walls and plenty of greenery, creating a cozy and warm atmosphere. The restaurant's interior is rather small, making for an intimate dining experience. Unfortunately, I was sat at a communal table, which I was not expecting. Considering I made a reservation in advance for three people and have Resy VIP status, it was disappointing that open tables we were told were being held for parties of four.
Rating: 3.5/5
The Service:
The service was average at best. Our server seemed disinterested and inattentive, which detracted from the overall experience. In addition, I don’t think the restaurant has a bartender; I tried to order a French 75 and had to instruct our server on how to make one.
Rating: 3/5
The Food:
The food was good, with various Italian-inspired dishes (especially pasta) on the menu. I particularly enjoyed the burrata with prosciutto and the meatballs as appetizers. I ordered the orecchiette pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe for the main course, which was well-prepared and flavorful. The food was really good if you consider the price tag. $18 for a plate of pasta in Tribeca is hard to beat!
Rating: 4/5
Cleanliness:
Overall, I felt confident in the restaurant's hygiene standards, which is especially important in the current climate. The cleanliness of the establishment added to the overall positive dining experience.
Rating: 4/5
Summary - 3.55/5
In conclusion, Terra in Tribeca is a decent restaurant with pleasant decor and good food, but the average service left something to be desired. It's worth a visit for the ambiance, tasty Italian dishes, and low price point, but don't expect outstanding service.
