Overview:
I wanted to share my fantastic experience at Via Carota the other weekend. The atmosphere inside was cozy and intimate, with dim lighting and rustic decor that gave off a charming old-world vibe. The service was also fantastic. Our server was super helpful and kept our glasses full. And let me tell you, the food was terrific! They had various authentic Italian dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I loved the homemade pasta, pork loin, and various appetizers. Overall, I would 100% recommend Via Carota to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in the heart of the West Village.
The Atmosphere:
As mentioned before, the inside was cozy and intimate. However, we sat outside on the sidewalk. Via Carota has minimal reservations and offers most of their seating on a first-come, first-serve basis. When we arrived, there was a long line of people. When we reached the front, we got lucky that there were a few tables for two left. While the sidewalk is less lovely than the interior, it is still a good option if you aren't one of the lucky reservations.

The Staff:
I was greeted with a warm welcome and seated promptly. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and offered great recommendations for both food and wine. Our food came within promptly without us feeling rushed.

The Food:
The carrot appetizer was out of this world - the perfect way to start the meal. The carrots were cooked to perfection, and the sauce that came with it was a match made in heaven. The Cacio E Pepe was also a standout dish - the pasta was cooked just right, and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. And last but not least, the charred pork loin was simply divine. The meat was juicy and tender, and the flavors were spot on.

Cleanliness:
Considering we sat on the sidewalk, the table, plates, and silverware were all very clean.
